Membership is of five
types:
- Ordinary Membership shall be open to
all persons employed or engaged in the insurance business.
- Non-voting Membership shall be open
to all persons interested in insurance, except as stated in 3) below
- Student Membership shall be open to
all full-time students interested in insurance.
- Honorary Membership shall be open to
those invited by the Council in writing for such period as the Council may determine.
- Corporate
Membership
Ordinary members shall have the sole
rights of voting and holding office in any committee of the Institute. Otherwise, the
privileges of membership are equal.
PRIVILEGES OF IIHK MEMBERS
Members of the
Institute are entitled to a number of benefits. These include:-
- Eligibility to attend the IIHK
Diploma examination and apply for the Diploma and all other functions organised by the Institute
including seminars, sports events and social activities;
- Advantage in applying for the courses
run by the Japan School of Insurance; and
- Preferential membership rates in
studying the CII course; the IIHK CPD courses
- Receiving the quarterly newsletter of
the IIHK which contains informative articles and newsworthy items of interest to the
insurance industry.
Membership Year
Membership runs from 1st January to 31st
December.
Renewal invitation will be dispatched to existing members in December
each year.
